Welcome to my webpage!

I'm Will. I am an aspiring programmer from Los Angeles, CA. Currently, I am learning front end programming (which is user side/ design oriented programming). I first learned to code at Loyola Marymount University, and I currently code as a hobby in my free time. I am familiar with HTML and JavaScript, and I hope to master my programming skills soon.

About Me

I was born in the 90's to two proud parents: Tamara Gix - a restauarant manager, and William D. Covington II - a welder. Although my family is from the deep south, I am 100% Californian - born in Inglewood, raised in Compton, and currently residing in Hawthorne. I was raised in church, so most of my life decisions are spiritual and led by an invisible force I refer to as "God". My heritage is African American, and I am proud to be a black man. I love gospel music, reality television, and tequila.

As a child, I also dreamed to work in an office. I accomplished that dream in 2016 when I started working as an accountant. Since I couldn't retire at the age of 25 due to financial reasons, I decided to chase something new in life - a challenge: I wanna be a programmer. I want to show the world my talents in a way that is both artistic and intellectual. I'm going to chase my dreams, and I'm going to be somebody great.
